On Thursday the 2nd September our newly formed executive committee met for the 1st time to approve a new group constitution, review the group’s financial position, approve the new GPDR & Finance policies, and most importantly, sign off on our access policy.
Our new access policy has been designed to provide a mechanism for parents & leaders to request financial assistance from the group, confidentially, so that no child misses out on Scouting due to financial barriers that may be present. The policy also extends to requests for funding for individual development opportunities, I.E an international trip.
This is one of the fundemental steps we’re taking to ensure that our Group is inclusive and open to all young people who reside in the community surrounding Preston Central Scout Group. A copy of the policy can be downloaded from our website.
